Most of my code exists because something annoyed me enough to fix it myself. Lately that means backend systems built from the protocol up: an HTTP/1.1 server on raw Java sockets, a search typeahead service, and an API gateway on PostgreSQL and Redis, each with tests and reproducible benchmarks. I also contribute to open source through the freeCodeCamp × NHCarrigan cohort.
